“Highlight of our summer”

Margaret was was a great host. She was constantly communicating with me throughout the trip to check in and update me on wild fire information and road closures. The home was very clean and just as advertised. All the directions were clear and if we ever had any questions we knew we could reach out and get a quick response. The location was perfect and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything

“10/10!”

Fabulous location for a weekend getaway to Yosemite (~50min drive to the Valley), super clean home and very detailed house manual, and very responsive hosts. We really appreciated all the COVID-specific cleaning process updates. The evaporative cooler did break on our last night there, but Margaret was super quick to respond via text and phone, and turned the AC on for us right away. Thank you for making your wonderful home available.

“Comfortable, well-appointed and private”

We celebrated an anniversary at Charlie and Margaret's place, with 4 lovely days of exploring Yosemite. This is a great launching point for access to the park. Be prepared to spend time driving ... but that's true pretty much wherever you stay, as the park is large and diverse. The kitchen was perfect for the amazing meals we cooked with food from our garden. Delightfully ripe figs were hanging heavy on the tree in the yard. Margaret was involved throughout the process of booking and staying at her home. She proactively identified poor air quality due to wildfires as a potential issue in time for us to consider cancelling our stay and get a full refund. We took our chances and were rewarded with an amazing time.

“Perfect house for our Covid summer vacation.”

The house was clean, beautifully remodeled, spacious, lots of seating and eating areas (we enjoyed most dinners outside on the patio), and comfortable beds. There were some nice little extras that were small but very much appreciated like a kitchen stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and ziploc bags, several ice packs in the freezer to use for our day hikes, and basic kitchen spices to use for cooking. Margaret was responsive and available from the time I booked through our entire visit. She gave great suggestions on how to plan the limited days we had, and she let us know about the Perseid meteor shower that would peak during our stay so the kids got to see several shooting stars that night. It was amazing! Overall, it was the perfect place to relax at after a day of hiking through Yosemite. I highly recommend it!

“Perfect home base for visiting Yosemite.”

It’s close enough to Mariposa to get any little necessities, but far enough away to be able to enjoy the rustic view and listen to the birds while drinking coffee on the deck before making the short drive to the park. Margaret made sure to keep in touch in the weeks leading up to our visit, making planning much easier for us. She kept us informed of any changes or announcements related to the park, which helped immensely! We can not recommend this home more!

“Pretty views day and night.”

It was great to have some time in the country! It was comfortable and reminded us of staying at a cabin in a state or national park. Mariposa is a very cute town with a variety of dining options. The location is great for visiting Yosemite.
